Pelican Publishing recently released ”The Adventures of Boudin Boy” in December 2025, a book written and illustrated by New Iberia artist Paul Schexnayder.
The story follows an old Cajun couple who, on a whim, make a boy out of their boudin mixture. After frying him, they discover he has come to life. The boy escapes to explore the Louisiana swamps and beyond, learning about friendship, nature, and independence along the way, according to a news release.
