The Baldwin Police Department took to social media to announce the arrests made over the past weekend, providing details about the individuals involved and the alleged crimes leading to their apprehension. In a post on their official Facebook page, the department relayed that with Chief A. Gibson at the helm, they had taken into custody both Montre Bowser, a Black male born on June 23, 2000, and Gwendolyn E. Murry, a White female born on September 30, 1960.
According to the Baldwin Police Department’s post, Bowser, who was wanted in connection with several charges including Desecration of Graves under Louisiana Revised Statute 14:101, Resisting an Officer by Flight under La Rs 14:108 and a Home Invasion charge stemming from a warrant from New Iberia Police Department, was apprehended and subsequently booked at the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center (LEC). Murry, on the other hand, faced accusations of Theft from a local business under Louisiana Revised Statute 14:67, and she too was transported to the St. Mary LEC, where she saw her name added to the booking registry on the above charges…
