Former Natchitoches deputy and Youngsville native arrested for indecent behavior with a juvenile

NATCHITOCHES PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — A former Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s deputy is now facing a felony charge after a five-month criminal investigation uncovered evidence of an alleged inappropriate relationship with an underage individual, according to Sheriff Stuart Wright.

On Jan. 14 Javen R. Etienne, 23, of Youngsville turned himself in to Natchitoches Parish sheriff’s detectives at the Criminal Investigations Bureau. He was arrested and booked into the LaSalle Corrections/Natchitoches Detention Center on one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile.

The investigation began in August 2025 after the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office (NPSO) received a complaint alleging that a deputy with Patrol Operations Bureau engaged in misconduct involving a juvenile.
