As South Louisiana residents face a cold start to the week, the National Weather Service says all signs point to another frigid weekend after a winter storm brought ice, freezing rain and even snow to north and central parts of the state on Saturday and Sunday.
A blast of Arctic air looks likely for the region and will bring down temperatures to at or below 28 degrees Friday night into Saturday morning. Bone-chilling wind chills will make it feel even colder, the NWS said.
