A new plate lunch concept called Gravy is coming soon to 107 E. Main Street in downtown Lafayette, in the space currently occupied by Pat’s Downtown.
The new restaurant will be operated by the same ownership group behind Pamplona, which is located on the same corner of Jefferson Street and East Main Street. While early speculation suggested the project could be an expansion of Pamplona, Gravy will operate as a separate and distinct concept under the same ownership.

The transition follows the major retirement announcement of Patrick Dupuis, owner of Pat’s Downtown, who recently shared that he has decided to step away from the restaurant industry after more than 30 years in business. Pat’s Downtown has long been a staple of downtown Lafayette’s lunch scene and community life, with several employees having worked at the restaurant for more than two decades.
