11 members of drug trafficking organization with ties to Gulf Cartel indicted in Lafayette

A federal grand jury in Lafayette has indicted 11 alleged member of a drug trafficking organization for various drug-related charges.

The grand jury issued the indictment on Jan. 21, 2025, and all 11 defendants were taken into custody on Jan. 29, according to a news release issued Feb. 10 by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District of Louisiana.
