Judice Middle expansion construction underway

LAFAYETTE PARISH, La. (NEWS 15) — Several schools in Lafayette Parish are seeing substantial construction work as part of an ongoing expansion effort. Judice Middle School is a prime example of this progress with new steel beams now in place.

The expansion at Judice Middle is a significant part of the Lafayette Parish School System’s ongoing projects. At a cost of $34 million, it stands as the most expensive project among them, while a new $2 million physical education building in Milton represents the lower end of the budget spectrum.

A mission of Superintendent Francis Touchet has been to do away with the existence of temporary / butler buildings. And that’s one of the things that will happen at Judice Middle…
