3 arrested after traffic stop for speeding leads to drug, gun seizure in Assumption Parish

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested three men after a traffic stop revealed drugs and guns.

According to APSO Sheriff Leland Falcon, deputies saw a vehicle commit a traffic violation on Louisiana Highway 70 in Pierre Part and stopped the car on Feb. 7. The driver was identified as Andy Inthavong, 19, of Jeanerette. During a pat-down search, the deputy discovered a large caliber gun in Inthavong’s possession.

The deputy ordered the two passengers, Khaleb Fusilier and Jorick Latula Jr., both 19 and from New Iberia, to exit the vehicle. It should be noted that the deputy reportedly smelled marijuana emitting from the car…
