People across parts of Acadiana are dealing with the aftermath of powerful thunderstorms that swept through the region overnight, with at least one tornado touching down. An EF-0 tornado briefly touched down outside of Crowley in rural Acadia Parish. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
ACADIA PARISH, La. (NEWS 15) — People in rural Acadia Parish were left picking up the pieces after an EF-0 tornado touched down just outside Crowley. The National Weather Service confirmed the tornado briefly traveled a couple of blocks, causing damage in its path. The tornado brought down a carport onto a vehicle and destroyed sheds and other outbuildings along Madison Road near Ebeneezer Road. Fortunately, no one was injured during the storm…
