Lafayette firefighter robbed at gunpoint, equipment stolen

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — A Lafayette firefighter and local lawn care business owner is searching for answers after being held at gunpoint while on the job, an encounter that ended with thousands of dollars in equipment stolen.

Clarence Ferrier said he was servicing a property when he noticed someone near his trailer. At first, he was unsure what he was seeing.

“As I’m walking to the front, I see like a hoodie or a beanie. I wasn’t sure what it was, but like, I hope somebody’s not my chair,” Ferrier said. “So I kind of sped up. I was walking up on him from behind. He was taking my equipment.”…
