(February 23, 2026) – A lifelong resident of Broussard, Louisiana, Trey Smith grew up on Huval Drive in the Huval Holiday subdivision. His father, Murrell Smith II, who goes by Tommy, still lives in the house where Smith grew up.
He is actually Murrell Smith III but goes by Trey. He and his wife and children live on Papa Joe Drive, the street perpendicular to the one he grew up on.
Tommy moved to St. Martinville from Rayville while he was in middle school. He and his wife, Mary Alice Guilbeau (now deceased), from Catahoula, moved to Broussard in 1981 and raised their family there. Trey was born a year later…
