Two New Iberia men are hospitalized in serious condition after getting shot at a Ville Platte apartment complex, according to Police Chief A. Perry Thomas. He said the victims are a 30-year-old man and 33-year-old man. Their names were not released. Chief Thomas added one was airlifted to Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, while the other was transported by ambulance to Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte and later to Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
