DOTD plans $21 million preservation for Perry Bridge in Abbeville

ABBEVILLE, La. (KLFY) — A $21 million preservation project is moving forward for the Perry Bridge on LA-82 in Vermilion Parish, bringing long-anticipated improvements to a key transportation link in Abbeville.

After years of concerns about reliability and frequent closures, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) said the project is designed to extend the life of the bridge, which spans the Vermilion River and serves motorists, residents, and businesses throughout the area.
