HAMMOND, La. (NEWS 15) — Ascension Episcopal fell short for the second year in a row in its quest to win its first state soccer title. Despite the loss in the championship game, the Blue Gators are optimistic about their future.

Ascension Episcopal faced Northlake Christian in the final, after defeating Newman in the semifinals—a team that took the title from the Blue Gators last year. They lost 2-0 in this year’s championship game.
