PORT BARRE, La. (KLFY) — A man has fled into a wooded area following a traffic stop on US 190 Saturday morning in Port Barre. The passenger, identified as Corea Arvin Osmin, ran from officers during an attempted detention at approximately 7:15 a.m., officials said.
Authorities determined that both Osmin and the driver of the vehicle are allegedly from Honduras and are in the United States illegally. While the driver was taken into custody and turned over to immigration officials, Osmin remains at large being last seen in the woods near Kings Truckstop.
The Port Barre Police Department is asking the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings of Osmin. Residents are instructed not to make contact with the suspect and to notify the police immediately if he is spotted, officials said…
