LAFAYETTE, LA. (KLFY) — The Lafayette City Council will discuss the approval of the permit for a new lounge and bar being opened in the downtown area tonight.
The Lafayette City Council will vote on whether or not approve a conditional permit that would allow for bar to be opened in Downtown Lafayette at the next meeting on Tuesday, March 24.
The owners of Rooftop 116 Downtown were applying to open the new lounge on Jefferson Street next to the existing Nitetown Bar. The Lafayette Planning and Zoning Commission voted in February to recommend approval of the permit but on conditions of no one under the age of 21 allowed inside, no external speakers, no outdoor events, and only a capacity of 49 people…
