Colonel Carlos Stout, Chief Deputy of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, has graduated from the 297th session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, after ten weeks of advanced training in communication, leadership, and fitness. He was among 253 graduates representing 48 states, the District of Columbia, and agencies from 24 countries.
Col. Stout, a 30-year law enforcement veteran in Lafayette Parish, began his career in 1990 and has served in multiple roles including corrections deputy, undercover detective, and patrol supervisor. He also served as Chief of Police in Carencro before returning to the Sheriff’s Office in 2016.
