ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office escorted the body of former Sheriff William Earl Hilton to Lafayette on Tuesday morning, March 24.
Hilton passed away following a hit-and-run that happened in the Hineston area on Monday.
Deputies responded to a hit-and-run call around 1 p.m. Hilton was located with severe injuries and was taken by helicopter to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries…
