Former Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Secretary Jack Montoucet may be changing his plea to guilty on at least one count in a federal bribery case that prompted him to resign from his post in 2023.
Montoucet entered a not guilty plea in June in federal court in Lafayette. He was indicted in May for his role in a kickback scheme involving a statewide contract for online hunting and fishing courses.
