Officials break ground on $43M I-49 resurfacing project in Lafayette Parish

A $43 million project to resurface I-49 will begin in early April, bringing months of lane closures and congestion for drivers. The work will span nearly nine miles from North Lafayette Parish to South St. Landry Parish. Officials with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development said the project is overdue.
