The SNAP Healthy Foods Waiver now restricts what kinds of drinks and snacks can be purchased with SNAP benefits. Shoppers can still buy soft drinks made with cane sugar, but cannot buy:
- Soft drinks with high fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners
- Energy drinks
- Candy
