Louisiana drug bust nets meth-filled ice cream machine and 18-wheeler carrying cocaine

LAFAYETTE, La. (KPLC) – Federal officials have announced arrests in five cases involving drug trafficking throughout western Louisiana.

Investigators uncovered 25 pounds of fentanyl, 335 pounds of meth and 253 pounds of cocaine, officials said.

The cases in Lake Charles and Breaux Bridge involved Mexican nationals who are in the U.S. illegally and trafficking cocaine and meth, officials said. In the Breaux Bridge case, more than 300 pounds of meth were found in an ice cream machine being towed on the interstate…
