LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – A cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms to the area overnight. The front will move through around 10 p.m. with cooler air following. Lingering showers will be possible through 9 a.m. Sunday.
Easter Sunday may start with rain chances, but drier conditions filter in throughout the day. Temperatures will be slow to warm and only reach the lower 70s at best. A light jacket may be wanted with the cooler and cloudy weather. Winds will increase through the day adding an extra chill. Some sun may sneak into the picture late in the day.
Cool conditions stick around to start the new week. Mornings will be in the lower 50s Monday and Tuesday with temperatures reaching around the lower 70s. Sunshine will mix with cloud cover. Warmer weather returns Wednesday along with rain chances. Showers and storms will be possible through the end of the week at least, potentially extending into next weekend.
