A shooting in Scott has left an Acadiana High student in critical condition, according to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.

According to LPSS, the Acadiana High School student has died.
The Lafayette Parish School System is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of an Acadiana High School student who was also a student at the W.D. & Mary Baker Smith Career Center. To support students and staff during this difficult time, additional counselors will be available on campus for anyone who may need support or a space to talk. Our hearts are with the family, friends, classmates, and the entire Acadiana High and Career Center communities as they grieve this devastating loss.
There have been no arrests made in connection with the shooting.
