Joint Council Meeting
Explanation for joint meeting: The Lafayette councils are holding a joint meeting to introduce five ordinances currently before both councils. While the ordinances are usually introduced and voted on at separate meetings, a joint meeting is being held to save time and avoid duplicate staff presentations about flood zones, which are the subject of one of the ordinances. The final ordinances will still be voted on separately, but Clerk of the Council Joseph Gordon-Wiltz says the joint meeting will save time and allow for discussion between the councils regarding development code changes and an ordinance relating to flood damage prevention…
