Festival International de Louisiane makes final preps ahead of Wednesday start

LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — Festival International de Louisiane kicks off on Wednesday, and final preparations are underway across downtown Lafayette.

News 15 crews were on the ground as vendors and stages took shape throughout the area. Lafayette Consolidated Government invested more than $1.5 million in upgrades at Parc International to enhance the festival experience.

“So, some of these changes that came with that budget was, of course, a paint job. This swirl has been freshened up, the flags on the stage, and all of the surrounding fences on the perimeter but beyond that. We also have electrical that has been put in place, which is more efficient, and it’s wonderful for all the different events that come for this year,” Carly Courville, marketing director for Festival International de Louisiane, said…
