A well-known Lafayette small business is speaking out after receiving a cease-and-desist letter from another tenant at Acadiana Mall.
On May 5, The Churros Boutique posted a message to social media explaining that they had been accused of copying another business and engaging in unlawful marketing. The post included a video showing one of the owners visibly emotional and uncertain about the future.
“We respectfully disagree,” the business wrote, emphasizing that their brand, menu, and vision were built independently with “authenticity, creativity, and love.”
