After legal fight and reversal, Comeaux High likely to stay open

Multiple signs are pointing to the fact that the Lafayette Parish School Board is contemplating keeping Comeaux High School open, at least through the 2026-2027 school year — even as the system moves to strip it of more students.

Both the superintendent and a school board member representing the Comeaux area are signaling that the high school will be open when school starts after the summer break.
