POINCIANA, Florida — A 45-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly harassing her neighbor and falsely reporting that he attempted to hit her with his car.
Cynthia Thales, of Poinciana, was taken into custody by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office on May 31, 2026, after deputies responded to a disturbance call around 10:19 p.m., according to a press release from the sheriff’s office. Thales had reported that her neighbor tried to run her over with his vehicle.
Upon investigation, deputies reviewed security footage and determined that Thales was the aggressor. The video showed the neighbor arriving home and backing into his garage when Thales ran over, entered the garage, and blocked the door sensor, preventing it from closing. She then shouted obscenities at him, including, “Call the cops, immigrant!” Thales also threw a sandal and a can of WD-40 at the victim’s windshield…
