TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA)—Tampa Bay, Florida, residents woke up Tuesday morning to a noctilucent cloud following a SpaceX launch.
SpaceX launched a Starlink Mission around 5:20 a.m. on Tuesday, creating the cloud. SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida using a first-stage booster that was making a record-breaking 37th flight, reported Nexstar affiliate WRIC, citing Spaceflight Now.
“An early morning SpaceX rocket launch just before sunrise left an exhaust plume high up in the atmosphere. This plume is illuminated by the sun’s rays well before sunrise because of how high up it is. These bright streaks are called noctilucent clouds,” WFLA Meteorologist Amanda Holly said…
