Auburndale Traffic Stop Turns Chaotic After Woman Intervenes, Gets Arrested For Meth

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A routine traffic stop in Auburndale led to the arrest of two Polk County residents Wednesday after a driver was found operating a vehicle with a suspended license and a bystander allegedly intervened, according to authorities.

A Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a Chevrolet on Wednesday, Aug. 26, near the intersection of Jones Road and Plymouth Road. The driver, identified as 41-year-old Joshua James Tomb of Winter Haven, was driving on a license that had been suspended since August 2025 following a DUI conviction.
