POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 29-year-old Mulberry man wanted on an active felony warrant was taken into custody Tuesday at a Lakeland convenience store after a detective spotted him riding a motorcycle without a mask.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Gavin Liem McKenzie on September 8, 2026. Authorities were actively searching for McKenzie due to an outstanding warrant for violation of probation. The underlying charges on the warrant include three counts of burglary, two counts of grand theft of a motor vehicle, grand theft of a firearm, grand theft over $5,000, scheme to defraud, fraudulent use of personal identification, possession of a stolen credit card, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
