Armed SWAT Standoff In Plant City Ends With Brothers In Handcuffs After Online CSAM Bust

PLANT CITY, Fla. – A search warrant tied to a child exploitation case turned into an armed standoff on Tuesday, ending with the arrest of a convicted felon and his brother in Plant City.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office began looking into the case after a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children flagged multiple video uploads containing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).

On Sept. 15, 2026, deputies with the agency’s Internet Predator Unit and SWAT team arrived at a home on the 3100 block of Juanita Drive to execute a search warrant. As SWAT approached, 43-year-old David Urbina let family members step outside before barricading himself in the house…
