A simple pedestrian violation turned violent for a local deputy in Central Florida. A Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputy recently stopped the man on Maine Avenue in Lakeland after he committed a minor pedestrian violation. But the suspect lied, ran away, and then tried to fight a deputy.
According to local law enforcement, the man had no identification on him, so he provided the deputy with a name and date of birth. That information provided no match to anyone in the Florida database.
