WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (WFLA) — Three people were hospitalized with serious injuries after a car crashed through the wall of an abandoned building in Winter Haven, officials said.

The crash happened at around 2:20 a.m. on Saturday, when police and fire rescue responded to the intersection of 5th Street Southwest and U.S. Highway 17/3rd Street Southwest.
Based on photos shared by Winter Haven Police, it appears the Mazda was going north on U.S. 17 when it flew off the roadway and into the building, which used to be a car wash.
It’s unknown how many people were inside the car at the time, but at least three were hospitalized under trauma alerts, a spokesperson said.
