POLK COUNTY, Fla. – An Auburndale family is working to recover after a two-vehicle collision on September 26 left a father seriously injured and destroyed the household’s only vehicle.
The crash happened around 8:20 p.m. in Polk County. According to an online fundraiser launched by Azelyn Torres, her husband was driving with their three children when another vehicle operated by a teenager pulled out from a side road. Her husband attempted to avoid the oncoming car, but the other vehicle clipped theirs. The impact caused their car to lose control, flip over, and hit a utility pole.
