HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A 53-year-old Plant City man died Wednesday night after being thrown from his motorcycle and hit by oncoming traffic along State Road 39 in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred around 9:25 p.m. just south of Varn Road.
Troopers reported that a 20-year-old Wesley Chapel woman was driving a Honda Civic northbound on SR-39 directly behind the Plant City man, who was operating a Zero SR electric motorcycle. As the motorcyclist began slowing down, the Honda Civic failed to stop in time and rear-ended the bike…
