The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has issued an urgent arrest warrant for 26-year-old Enrique Martinez, a resident of a homeless camp at 2nd Eloise Terrace in Winter Haven. Martinez, born on March 31, 1997, is wanted for first-degree murder, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, and tampering with evidence.

The warrant comes in the wake of a tragic incident that occurred on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, around 9:30 p.m., where Martinez is accused of murdering 33-year-old Edil Rodriguez, Jr., at the same homeless camp.

Further deepening the severity of the case, Martinez is also a prime suspect in the death of 20-year-old Sierra Hernandez, who was reported missing to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office by her mother on January 14, 2024. Hernandez is believed to have been killed days before she was reported missing. In light of these developments, the cash reward for information leading to Martinez’s arrest has been doubled, increasing from $5,000 to $10,000.
