WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Florida doctor who pleaded guilty in 2022 to illegally receiving kickbacks had his Kansas medical license revoked on Wednesday.
Sean O’Rourke, 56, of Lakeland, Florida, pleaded guilty in November 2022 to soliciting and receiving remuneration (kickbacks and bribes) in return for ordering medical services and items paid for by a federal health care program.
The Kansas State Board of Healing Arts announced Wednesday his license was revoked. A search on the Board of Healing Arts Licensee and Registrant Search shows his license as such.
Documents show under Kansas law, a license shall be revoked where the licensee has been convicted of a felony, whether it is related to the practice of healing arts or not.

A news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office says the crime happened from 2018 to 2020.
According to court documents, O’Rourke entered into an illegal agreement in 2018 with a company in which the company completed doctors’ orders for Medicare and CHAMPVA beneficiaries via an internet-based platform.
