TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — At a large piece of property in Plant City, hundreds of people gather for a concert and a rodeo. The event has everything from food trucks to souvenirs.
People in the community say concerts held every month on the property are drawing thousands of people, and the noise and the traffic from the events is spoiling their way of life.
“Our rights are being infringed upon so that they can make money,” said Russell Brown who lives nearby.

Concert promoters say they are operating fully within the law.
“What about our rights, our quietness? We live out in the country for a reason, not to have this go on,” said Brown.
The Hillsborough County Fire Marshal Tammy Zurla says this business and others are operating under a provision in the law called agritourism.
Florida law says “any agricultural related activity consistent with a bona fide farm or ranch or in a working forest which allows members of the general public to view or enjoy activities related to farming, ranching, historical, cultural or harvest-your-own attractions for recreational, entertainment or educational purposes.”
