Zephyrhills suspect barricaded in home after shooting at deputies: PCSO

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. (WFLA) — Pasco County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) exchanged gunfire with a suspect while serving a warrant on Friday.

Law enforcement has surrounded a home on Ruth Avenue in Zephyrhills, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

Deputies were helping another agency serve a warrant when the suspect fired shots from the home, according to PCSO. Deputies returned fire, but it is not known if the suspect was wounded in the exchange.

No deputies were hurt in the shooting. The person accused of firing at them remained inside the home as of this report.
