Lakeland, FL – In an unusual theft that has caught the attention of local authorities, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for a man who executed a bold daylight robbery at a Walgreens store in Lakeland. The incident, which took place at approximately 10:43 am on January 24th, involved the suspect making off with a significant haul of vitamins and, rather peculiarly, a 12-pack roll of Charmin toilet paper.

The store, located at 410 Old Polk City Rd, became the scene of the crime when the unidentified white male suspect entered the premises and began to collect a variety of vitamin supplements. Without attempting to pay for the amassed items, he then made his exit, leaving the store staff in disbelief.

Given the nature of the stolen goods, especially the toilet paper, Walgreens faces the unfortunate reality that even if the items were to be recovered, reselling them might not be possible. The loss comes at a time when retail thefts are increasingly scrutinized for their impact on businesses and consumers alike.
