Ribs on the Ridge
It’ll get finger-lickin’ good in Haines City from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17. That’s when some of the most smokin’ hot barbecue chefs and cooks bring out their best for the annual festival on the Lake Eva basketball courts, 555 Ledwith Ave. The free cooking event brings in professional and backyard barbecue competition teams from across Florida and the southeast to compete for cash prizes, trophies and bragging rights. The event also features live music and activities for children. For information, see www.hainescity.com/191/Ribs-on-the-Ridge or call 863-421-3700.
