Lakeland, FL – In a troubling incident at the Harvest Meat Market in Lakeland, a shopper’s wallet, accidentally left in a shopping cart, became the target of theft. The event, which occurred on February 5th at approximately 11:50 am, has prompted an investigation by local authorities.
The wallet, containing personal identification, cash, and possibly credit cards, was taken by an unidentified individual who, according to reports, has not attempted to return the wallet to its rightful owner. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) is actively seeking a white male believed to be connected with the incident. Surveillance footage from the scene captured the man departing in a white Volkswagen Tiguan shortly after the wallet was taken.
Detective Mitchell of the PCSO is leading the investigation and has issued a call to the public for assistance. Authorities are eager to speak with the man seen in the surveillance images to gather more information about the circumstances surrounding the wallet’s disappearance.
