Car Thief on Probation Nabbed for Stealing Another Vehicle in Polk County

Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office successfully apprehended two suspects earlier this month, 20-year-old Bradley Shaw—who was already on probation for a previous car theft—and 18-year-old Morgan Drye, following a car theft and chase.

According to Sheriff Grady Judd, the couple attempted to flee from the scene when deputies tried to pull them over. They ran into a local yard and a K9 was deployed to assist with the search.

Upon the release of the K9, both suspects gave up and were arrested and booked into the county jail on multiple charges, including resisting arrest, burglary and grand theft.

Sheriff Grady Judd addressed the situation in today’s morning briefing, stating, “You know there are some things in life you just shouldn’t do. These folks didn’t think through their bad decision. You just shouldn’t steal cars.”
