Dashcam video shows high-speed chase on I-4, driver reaching speeds of 130 mph

LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) — A trooper’s dash camera captured a high-speed chase through several Florida counties in a late-night pursuit on I-4.

Around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, a driver in a Mercedes sedan fled from Polk County deputies, heading eastbound on I-4, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

When FHP tried to pull the driver over, identified as 34-year-old Anthony Jermaine Hoyte, he fled, leading troopers on a pursuit.

Hoyte reached speeds of 130 mph, as he traveled into Osceola, and then Orange County, where he eventually exited onto SR-408. The high-speed chase continued to Florida’s Turnpike and back onto I-4.

The video shows the moment a PIT maneuver was performed on an exit ramp, ending the chase.

Hoyte was arrested and taken to the Orange County Jail on charges of fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, and aggravated assault with a firearm from a Georgia warrant.
