Circle B Bar Reserve will reopen Tuesday after closure following Hurricane Milton

Circle B Bar Reserve, which has been closed since Hurricane Milton , will reopen on Tuesday.

The popular nature site in Lakeland flooded after the heavy rains of Hurricane Milton. The 1,267-acre property borders Lake Hancock, and one of its purposes is to absorb overflow from the lake .

The Alligator Alley and Marsh Rabbit Run trails will remain closed until further notice because of hurricane damage, Polk County said in a news release. Visitors are advised to use caution as other trail sections may still be flooded.

Polk’s Nature Discovery Center will welcome guests as the property reopens.
