It might be the last bowl on a good day of games – and before a loaded few days of bowls – but this has the potential to be among the most fun.
Arkansas State lost last year’s Camellia to Northern Illinois in controversial fashion, and is just 1-4 since beating UCF in the 2016 Camping World. This year’s team got through a rough first half to win four of five to get bowl eligible before losing the regular season finale to Old Dominion.
Bowling Green started 2-4 before reeling off five straight wins to be a player in the MAC title chase. The program hasn’t won a bowl game since the 2015 GoDaddy vs South Alabama and is just 1-7 in bowls since 2004.
