TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Dense fog will limit visibilities through late morning before breaking apart. A dense fog advisory is in effect until 10:00 a.m. for the entire Tampa Bay area.
After the fog lifts, we’ll see a mixture of sun and clouds and temperatures will warm quickly into the mid and upper-70s this afternoon. It will be muggy and a few stray showers can’t be ruled out as a cold front passes.
It should be dry at midnight tonight when we ring in the new year but low clouds and patchy dense fog will move back in.
Cooler and drier air will filter in by morning and temperatures drop to near 60°.
New Year’s Day will be cooler with a slow warm-up. We’ll see more sunshine with some thin high clouds streaming in and temperatures only warming to near 70°.
It’s even cooler for the rest of the week with morning lows in the 40s and highs in the low to mid 60s through the weekend.
Another cold front moves through Monday night and into Tuesday with a few more showers dropping temperatures even more for next week.
