Fishtailing Fury On I-4: Altamonte Springs Man Arrested In Polk County After Reckless Driving Spree

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A dangerous display of reckless driving on Interstate 4 (I-4) ended with the arrest of a 29-year-old Altamonte Springs man on Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 2:50 PM on Thursday, March 13th, a Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputy was conducting traffic enforcement near the intersection of I-4 and State Road 559, north of Auburndale. The deputy witnessed a 2017 Ford Mustang perform an aggressive U-turn onto SR 559, accelerating rapidly and causing the vehicle to fishtail.

The Mustang then entered eastbound I-4, where it was clocked traveling at 54 mph in a 35 mph zone and later at 93 mph in a 70 mph zone. According to deputies, the driver further demonstrated reckless behavior by tailgating a Chevy Tahoe and then abruptly changing lanes, cutting off a semi-truck…
